RICS Asia Pacific Conference 2008

RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) is the mark of property professionalism worldwide has launched First RICS Asia Pacific Conference in Bangkok draws wide interest from property professionals.

In a joint effort, RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) announced the launch of the inaugural RICS Asia Pacific Conference on “Key Trends in Thai & Asian Valuation & Property Industries” co-organised with the Thai Valuers Association (TVA) and held at Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld, Bangkok .

In light of growing commercial property markets in the Asian countries, more and more global financial investors and property developers are eyeing these fast growing economies and property development sectors.  Even though activity in some markets has slowed in the wake of the sub-prime crisis and inflationary pressures, property markets across Asia, including , are still seen as among the most attractive destinations for investment funds. Over 100 industry leaders and over 50 mass media attended the Conference to seek insights about the current Asian and Thai property development trend.

H. E. Dr Surapong Suebwonglee, the Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister of , joined the conference to greet global developers and property professionals and addressed them on property and valuation issues in as well as the wider economy.
